Are you Left of Right? Up or Down?
Just took a test regarding my political leanings and scored the above, I've put the two charts for reference (Interesting where Zapatero is, isn't it?). A quick read of my blog will probably back it up. An interesting if somewhat facile test that tries to break free from the traditional right vs. left spectrum. It would be interesting to see where English teachers around the world stand. In my experience, I have found English teachers to be generally left leaning, though there have been some extreme exceptions (I once had the mispleasure of working with a "teacher" who would walk into a class full of tribal Yemenis, who considered a lesson plan writing on the board "Israel is right"). I don't know if it is the free teaching material that the Guardian offers, but you often see articles from it in English classes around the world.
If it's not too personal, where do you stand?
BTW, I got it from a site, which apparently took it from another site. A tip of the hat to them both. Sphere: Related Content

I was in France once and met some English teachers and they were a bunch of socialist atheists like yourself who were going to hell!
The Truth
Oh oh...the god squad has found me out. Perhaps they are a little angry at the Socialist movement for stealing all of their "good deeds" and helping their fellow man?
Wait a minute! A person can't do good for others simply because he believes it right and moral, can he? People only do "good" things for fear of eternal hellfire, isn't that right? Is that your truth?
You are the first person I've known to end up in the same place as I am on that chart! I miss you.
Ahhhh Nell...you're obviously hanging with the wrong crowd. There must be some people on that side of the Atlantic who don't fall into the upper right-hand corner. To be honest, it is pretty hard not to fall in the bottom left-hand corner with the way that the questions lead you.
Basically, are you a homophobe? A dictatorial maniac? A classist capitalist, or someone who actually thinks of other people?
When are you going to be back over here?
